Full stack developer / Backend developer / Software engineer

GustoMSC | NOV is a reputable design & engineering company of mobile offshore units and equipment. We enable and support safe and efficient operations at sea, contributing to a sustainable future.

Within GustoMSC a Digital Solutions team is growing. This team leverages the Industrial IoT (IIoT) platform developed by NOV to fuse our products and services with big data technologies.

As a team member you will contribute to the development of data-driven edge and cloud applications that contribute to the safety and performance of our end users. The ideal candidate would be self-starting, energetic individual, not afraid to question assumptions.

In your role you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes the design, code, test, deploy and support phases. A dedication to solving problems with high quality solutions is critical to achieving success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development, delivery and maintenance of new digital edge and cloud products built on our Industrial IoT platform
  • Interact with internal product development teams (e.g. product owners or uxui team) to clarify requirements
  • Interact with software delivery teams (e.g. edge, cloud or frontend) to identify the best approach to solve given tasks
  • Translate these into quality software in line with the industry best practices for software development

Requirements:

  • Master degree in Computer Science of equivalent required

Desired experience or skills:

  • 4+ years of experience in product software development
  • Experience in the design and development of full-stack web applications
  • Experience in Angular, Typescript, Webpack, Nx, NodeJS (frontend)
  • Experience in Node, GoLang, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, RESTful services (backend)
  • Experience working with cloud-based, distributed architectures (AWS is a plus)
  • Experience with GitHub and CICD pipeline automation tools
  • Experience with Scrum method
  • Hands-on in design and code review

  • You will contribute to the safety and green operations of the Mobile Offshore Units fleet, where we notably have designed a large part of the Wind Turbine Installation jack-ups currently in operation.
